With a new Material Design language that Google rolling out recently, all the Google product got a facelift to ensure the consistent look and feel. I feel it is a good time to redesign the unlocking screen experience as well.
The bubbles on the screen are different everytime, but the unlocking pattern stays the same. This would make the unlocking experience more playful and increase the safty as well.
